AQUAVALVE
The Tru-Design Aquavalve is the most versatile valve on the market today. The Aquavalve is
designed and made in New Zealand, for demanding marine sanitation applications.
The Aquavalve is typically used in marine toilet applications where protection for the environment
necessitates the need to control effluent discharge – in many countries this is governed by
regulation. The effluent can be held in a holding tank for later discharge overboard or to a shore
side facility.
The Tru-Design Aquavalve is moulded from a glass reinforced nylon composite. High strength,
high-modulus glass fibres impregnated into the nylon provides dramatic strength, stiffness,
toughness, and dimensional stability.

We have been producing the Aquavalve for many years. The success of the Aquavalve and positive
response from the marine industry led our design team to develop the Electronic Aquavalve, which
has become a problem solver for many modern marin plumbing installations

The Electronic Aquavalve allows the diverting valve to be operated with the push of a button on the supplied
control panel. The indicators on the control panel show the current position of the valve. The valve has two
positions 'holding tank' or 'ov rboard'.

INSTALLATION
Accessories Required
As every marine plumbing arrangement is unique, the plumbing accessories required for
installation of the Electronic Aquavalve are purchased separately.
A range of Tru-Design accessories are available to suit standard piping sizes and angles, as well as
fittings to suit specialised applications. For a full list of accessories for installation of your Electronic
Aquavalve, please consult your local Tru-Design agent.

The Electronic Aquavalve is supplied with a 5m Data Cable. If a longer length of cable is required,
contact a Marine Electrician to lengthen the cable.
Electronic Aquavalve Installation
1.
Plan out your intended plumbing layout, and location of the Electronic Aquavalve.The Electronic
Aquavalve can be placed in any orientation but must be secured to a flat surface. Do not screw
to surface until accessories are installed. Note: the Electronic Aquavalve should be located above
the bilge flood area.
2.
Obtain the appropriate Tru-Design accessories to suit your plumbing arrangement.
